After several teasers and speculations, Hyundai has confirmed the launch date of 2023 for the Verna sedan. This car will be launched in the Indian market on 21 March. The 2023 Hyundai Verna will see a significant change in terms of design and powertrain options.
Hyundai is launching its Verna sedan (Hyundai Verna 2023) in a new avatar on Tuesday, 21 March. The company has started booking for this compact sedan. In India, it will compete with Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. In the new avatar, the Hyundai Verna will be bigger, more powerful and equipped with several segment-leading features than the current model. It will also be the second sedan in its segment to get ADAS technology.
First up, the new Hyundai Verna will see a radical design change at the front with LED headlights, with longer DRLs running across the bonnet, and the same theme has been carried over to the rear as well, giving it a more appealing look. .
Talking about the engine, it will be given a turbocharged unit with 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. Apart from the 7-speed DCT transmission, it will be offered with a 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox. Its 1.5-litre unit will make 115PS of power and 144 Nm of peak torque, while the turbocharged engine will generate 163PS and 253 Nm. Hyundai has told that the new Verna will be equipped with Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS).

Let us tell you that it will have Level 2 ADAS features. These include forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, high beam assist and driver attention warning. Earlier, we have also seen ADAS technology in the recently launched Honda City facelift. The Verna will get around 65 safety features as well as several segment-first features.

The interiors of the new Hyundai Verna will also be updated with new looks and features. It will get a new 10.25-inch HD infotainment screen and digital cluster. It will also get first-in-segment switchable type infotainment and climate controller. Apart from this, it will get ventilated and heated front seats, which is a first in the segment.
The first car to rule everyone’s heart is the Hyundai Verna car, available in both petrol and diesel variants, the current generation Hyundai Verna price starts from Rs. 9.63 lakh and goes up to Rs. 15.71 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Hyundai Verna will not be offered with a diesel engine. Prices for the Hyundai Verna 2023 are expected to start from around Rs 11 lakh and go up to Rs 18 lakh for the top-spec model.
